The driving wasn't actually as bad as we had feared. Getting out of town, however, was another story. Stopping and asking for directions is a little tricky when you're dealing in very vague landmarks (as opposed to street signs). We nailed (NAILED) two curbs along the way to Galway but luckily our rental car was already missing a hubcap on the front passenger side so no damage was immediately apparent. We checked the tire last night and it was still inflated... so fingers crossed she's still full of air when head out today.
